COVID-19 Community Support
The team at Yellow Emperor has been monitoring the progression and effects of COVID-19 since January. As a result, Yellow Emperor was better situated than many to prepare our staff for the increase in social distancing and sanitation routines instituted. Thankfully, we all continue to remain healthy, fully stocked with materials for production, and able to offer support to our community.In an effort to help our community weather the storm, we have reached out to the local food bank and homeless shelters to offer sanitizing supplies. We are donating alcohol for a homemade sanitizer and will be making sanitizer to donate to organizations in need. Our goal is to help folks remain healthy and out of our hospitals.
In addition to other donations to community organizations, we also made a significant donation to Pearl Buck, a local non-profit that supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, so that they can continue to support those in need.
Yellow Emperor is an essential business. Since we are part of the food industry, we will remain open so that our clients can provide product to their customers. Locally, and across the country, many workers in the food industry are losing income due to lack of work as a result of social distancing. In contrast, we are busy with clients putting in increased orders as a result of increased demand and concerns for future supply chain delays. As a result, we are looking to hire some of these folks that are currently out of work to help us produce the dietary supplements, food, and personal care products needed by so many.
