Will you create a formula for me?
We have extensive experience re-creating products from a list of ingredients and a finished product sample. We also have offered our experience and guidance on solvents and ingredients to those who need it. Because we are attentive to the goings on of the industry, we also have shared our knowledge of trends and popular ingredients. In addition, because we are in the business of purchasing ingredients, we also have a good idea of what items might be difficult to source and often provide alternatives for formulas. We are willing to work with our clients to develop a liquid product that they are proud to sell.
What is natural product variation?
Many of the formulas that we manufacture feature herbs, which are grown outdoors. One year might be a great year for growing and harvesting plants and another might not be as great. For example, in 2020 there was an elderberry blight that impacted the elderberry harvest. Another example is the impact of tsunamis on Kava root quality and supply. Some things to keep in mind when thinking about natural variation:
- Colors, flavors, and odors are all effected by ever-changing weather patterns, so there will always be natural variation in a finished natural product if you are using whole form.
- There are powdered products that are standardized through processing and testing to have a certain percentage of actives, which can be subject to price variations due to the quality or quantity of harvest of that particular herb.
- Flavors and coloring agents can be used to ensure batch-to-batch consistency in flavor and color. Flavors are also commonly used to smooth out some of the stronger herbal flavors in a product.
What is your pricing breakdown?
Since not one product we make is like the other, we don’t have a breakdown or a “rough estimate” that we can provide. We offer liquid supplement and custom nutraceutical contract manufacturing, both bulk and bottling services, and liquid filling services. We manufacture on a turn-key basis and often work with toll ingredients as well. Generally, we find that folks are happy with our pricing, though often what tips the scale in their decision making is our customer service.
