Yellow Emperor partners with Girls on the Run to support their mission of promoting health, confidence, and joy in young girls through physical activity.
Girls on the Run is a national non-profit organization with chapters all over the country. Chapters meet twice a week in small teams, where certified coaches organize activities with the intention of helping girls with “understanding ourselves, valuing relationships and teamwork and understanding how we connect with and shape the world at large.” At the end of each season, the girls participate in a celebratory 5k fundraising event. Girls on the Run has served over 1 million girls, and focuses on promoting diversity and inclusion so that any girl who wants to participate can. Yellow Emperor has contributed to Girls on the Run in order to provide more girls with access to this program. Additionally, we have the opportunity to attend some of the practices and the 5k event to show our support. We are proud to partner with an organization that helps young women and girls develop important life-skills in an environment that emphasizes health and wellness.
