For many years, Yellow Emperor has been working with the Pearl Buck Center by hiring adults with disabilities to do production and office work.
The Pearl Buck Center is a local non-profit organization aimed at providing adults with disabilities pathways to employment through training and work experience opportunities. The Pearl Buck Center Academy offers instruction in warehouse skills, safety, and “soft skills” such as communication and job appropriateness. Yellow Emperor has partnered with Pearl Buck by hosting two interns this summer for a grant-funded program for students ages 18-21. The Pearl Buck Center also provides job development and job coaching to help clients be successful in community employment, so Yellow Emperor currently has a Pearl Buck client working here with a job coach. Yellow Emperor is very honored to have such a strong partnership with an organization that aligns with our values of providing equal opportunities to all members of the community.
