Y: Liquids
Our history as a liquid contract manufacturer of dietary supplements started with Traditional Chinese Medicine (hence our name) and while we had a brief stint of manufacturing other forms – including candy – our strength is liquid herbal formulations. We are often asked why we stick with exclusively liquids and it’s simple – we love them! So, what are the reasons to ditch pills and capsules?
Let us count the ways
In truth, our preference for liquid dietary supplements comes from the fact that liquid herbal formulations taken under the tongue are absorbed faster than solid dose nutraceuticals.1,2 In fact, the contents of a liquid dietary supplement spray under the tongue are 95% absorbed compared to a gel cap that is 30% absorbed3 – and that’s the highest solid dose form! However, there are more reasons to love liquids and here are our top five reasons to ditch pills and capsules:
- Liquid vitamins are more effective than solid dose forms of vitamins2
- Whole herb liquid extracts contain complex herbal compounds4
- Bulk liquid herbal extracts can be used as ingredients in beverages5 and personal care products
- Great for those who can’t or don’t like swallowing pills, capsules, or tablets
- Can be formulated to mask unpleasant tastes
The versatility of liquids is a great reason why we will continue to manufacture quality liquids for our customers. We have customers that use liquid formulations as finished products and those that use them as ingredients. We love liquids and are happy to contract manufacture this key form for the dietary supplement industry.
