As a liquid contract manufacturer, Yellow Emperor is in a unique position within the natural products industry. To start, the companies that we manufacture products for are brands and label-owners, not end consumers. Nevertheless, our business decisions are made, in part, based on the consumer trends that are impacting our customers’ brands. For example, we became a certified organic processor over a decade ago, knowing that more and more consumers want organic products. More recently, we became a benefit corporation after seeing the increased interest for more sustainability and transparency within the industry. Actually, being a benefit corporation has helped with employee recruitment too. We continually attend trend webinars put on by groups like New Hope Network and Venable to improve our business strategy. We understand our customer’s consumers are our customers too.
Our responsibility to both our customers and their consumers is to manufacture liquid products in compliance with the regulations that apply. For liquid dietary supplements, that means following the FDA’s 21 CFR 111. For liquid pet products, it means adhering to the National Animal Supplement Council current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) which are based on 21 CFR 111 and FSMA 507. For certified organic products, it means following the USDA National Organic Program. All of these certifications underline our commitment to manufacturing quality liquid nutraceuticals.
